Montréal, October 3, 2025 — On October 1, the Montreal Automobile Dealers Corporation (MADC) held its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Le Bungalow. Presented by CADA and its CADA 360 risk management programs, in collaboration with iA Dealer Services, this flagship MADC event provided an opportunity to review the organization’s activities over the past year, elect the 2025–2026 Board of Directors, and bring together automotive industry professionals for an engaging, inspiring, and forward-looking program.
Strong Activity Reports
Jacques Olivier Jr., President of the MADC, presented a comprehensive review of the Corporation’s activities. Gilles Pilon, President of the Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS), then shared the results of the most recent editions of the Montreal International Auto Show, the Montreal Electric Vehicle Show (MEVS), and the Charity Preview.
An Engaging Panel on Key Industry Issues
One of the highlights of the AGM was a panel discussion moderated by Denis Dessureault, Executive Vice President of the MADC, bringing together representatives from CADA and the CCAQ to address some of the major issues facing the automotive industry.
The MADC was pleased to welcome, on behalf of CADA, Tim Reuss, President and CEO; Huw Williams, Director of Public Affairs; and Charles Bernard, Chief Economist. Representing the CCAQ were Nathalie Aumont, Chair of the Board of Directors; Ian P. Sam Yue Chi, President and CEO; and Charles Robert, Director of Government and Media Relations.
Discussions focused on several strategic issues, including the ZEV standard and its impact on dealers, a topic that generated valuable discussion among all panelists. CCAQ Chair Nathalie Aumont also encouraged dealers to actively participate in the certification program and invited attendees to the CCAQ Summit 2025.
An Inspiring Presentation
Participants then attended a presentation by André-Martin Hobbs, technology entrepreneur, dealership co-owner, founder of an artificial intelligence startup, and member of the MADC Board of Directors. His presentation, entitled “AI for Dealers: From Practical Strategies to Real Results,” demonstrated in concrete terms how artificial intelligence is already transforming the industry and how dealers can leverage it to their advantage.
Continuing Education and the Next Generation
A graduation ceremony recognized the graduates of the CCAM-NADA and Élite continuing education programs. This important milestone highlighted dealers who are investing in their professional development and in the next generation of the automotive industry.
A Successful Networking Evening
The AGM concluded with a dinner cocktail reception presented by Sym-Tech Dealer Services, providing members, partners, and guests with a valuable opportunity to connect and exchange in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
